hockey bloody hockey

the canucks won last night even with out luongo in net...and god knows there were enough skeptics out there that thought it wasnt going to happen...and really...it almost didnt...but in watching the game/highlights thoughts began to accumulate in my head...

i understand that sports is clearly important in some mens lives...

i understand it...i accept it...i deal with it...and in all honesty i do pretty well at it...

i have never watched so many hockey games in my entire life as i have this current season...and honesty i do enjoy it...

and i have been very good at it too...i rarely talking during play, i never walk in front of the tv, and i always bring beer back from the fridge...not to mention the numerous hockey parties i have organized and prepared food for...

and through my understanding of this obsession men have with sports i let things slide...like coming home from a nice fancy dinner and the first thing they do is turn on the tv to watch all the highlights...thats fine...cause i understand that it makes them happy and having them happy makes me happy...
and highlights aren't always all the bad...but only to a certain point...

for example...

7 - 10:00pm - we watch the game...therefore we see every thine once...fine

10:00pm - now its time to watch all the sports shows and highlights - ok we see the important parts over...still ok...

10:30pm - now its time to watch the next installment of sports shows and highlights - basically the exact same thing we just saw...once more...still on the ok side cause it really drives home the parts that are important...

11:00 - the THIRD installment of sports shows and highlights - HONESTLY ITS THE EXACT SAME THING WE JUST SPEND 4 HOURS WATCHING!!! by this point i can predict everything thats going to happen and everything the announcer is going to say...so why oh why do we have to watch it YET AGAIN...

that is the only part in the whole sports watching process that i just dont understand...you've seen the game itself...you've see two entire shows dedicated to highlights...which therefore means you know everything about the game you JUST watched...as well as every other game in that was played that night...
SO WHY do we have to watch it again?????????

i have patients for a lot of things...but watching the same sports highlights three times in a row...and i just blow a gasket...

i try...but i just dont understand why men need to watch the same thing so many times in a row...
