Story Time with Charis

its days like today when i realize how much i love my job...

i poured myself some coffee to wake me up and warm me up only to notice there fabric fibers floating around in it...oh fashion...you are in everything i do!

last night was our dinner date at antons and it was very yumtastic...we only had to wait about 10 minutes in line which was good...while we were standing there huddling to keep warm this car pulled up and this guy got out of it...looked in my direction and give me this huge smile in the way that guys smile at you when they are hitting on you...then he opens the back door to get something...both chad and i look at each other and say 'WTF!?' why is this dude smiling at me like that when i am clearly with someone...then he pulls out a baby from the car and smiles again...and again we are like 'WTF!?'...he starts walking towards us and our confused faces only for his wife...who just happens to be behind us...to run up and great them...OH...ok...makes sense now...he wasnt smiling at ME but his WIFE...got us a little worried there for a second...

when we finally got in we sat at this table next to this olderish couple...the chick was done her meal and had her take home package in front of her while the guy continues to wolf down his food...the entire time they were there they didnt say two words to eat other...the chick just stared at him leaning her chin on her fist and the guy looked around everywhere but where she was...it was totally weird...when they got up and left chad looked and me and was like...'did they say anything to each other the whole time we were here???' and i was like 'nope not a word!'...meanwhile there we are not shutting up for two hours...

it was interesting to see how far we've come...the first time we went to antons a year or so ago we knew nothing...chad would point to what he wanted in the menu cause he was to scared/didnt know how to say it in italian...we would get a single glass of house wine because we had no clue as to what the difference between anything was but we knew we had to drink red wine with the pasta...

now items like 'pene alla calabrese' and 'pene alla greca' are said effortlessly...and $40 bottles of Wolf Blass are ordered without even flinching...we've tried them all and now we know what we like...we've become snobs...in the best sense...its fun...

we got home at about 9 last night and though we would just sit down for a sec cause we were so tired...but after a gigantic pasta dinner and an entire bottle of wine that was not a good idea...30 seconds later we totally passed out...9:00!!! asleep...dead to the world and not wanting to move...

i ended up having the most retarded dreams...the first one i ended up going to India with my dad...god knows why...and i didnt want to be there and i didnt pack properly so i didnt have the right things with me and i was suppose to be gone for a month and because we left in such a rush i forgot to tell chad that i was going and i freaked out...so i found a computer and went online and someone had totally messed up my blog and changed everything...and i had no messages waiting for me on facebook and i was so pissed...no one even noticed i was gone...so weird...

then chad and i were driving down this road waiting to cross over on this bridge but there are people walking on it and not driving...which i found odd...then i come to a screeching halt cause the bridge abruptly ends and i couldnt drive anymore...and there were nets everywhere for people to climb and walk around on to get across the river cause the rest of the bridge had fallen down...but there were no signs about this so i had to leave my car there cause i couldnt back up to get off the bridge...and so i of course panicked cause i need my car for everything...and the nets we had to climb down on were horribly unsafe and everyone was taking pictures of everything like it was a tourist attraction...

these two dreams combined led to my horrible sleep which then led to my intense need for coffee this morning...see it comes full circle...hopefully i will be able to get through the rest of the day with out having my head crash into my keyboard...
