You are hairy. Like animal.

Feets

The other night I had a shower and shaved my legs and then moisturized them with some lotion/sunless tanning cream. When I woke up the next morning it looked like I hadn't even shaven my legs at all. I was so confused. I couldn't figure out if I had dreamt about shaving them or if I had actually done it. I was really sure I had but by the looks of them it was like I hadn't touched them in a week. I'm still really confused over the matter.

Because it is technically Summer and I was told it was suppose to be hot yesterday I wore my new brown linen skirt with a white t-shirt and sweater. Now in the mornings I am always freezing cold but figured by lunch time it should warm up nicely. Wrong. At lunch time it decided to rain. Hahaha oh Vancouver I am going to strangle you.

It was still kinda warm out but the rain made it a little nipply so I decided to go out to the local bakery Uprisings to get some of their much talked about soup. I opted for the Minestrone and went back to work to eat my soup and sammich.

The soup was so good and hearty that I could barely eat it all, especially with the huge prosciutto sandwich I had to accompany it. Omg I was so full that for the rest of the day I couldn't eat a thing because of how full I was.

We went to the gym last night which was good because I was feeling fat because of how full I felt all day even tho what I ate was healthy and not fattening, I just still felt gross. I still kinda feel that way now and don't know what I should do for lunch. In a last minute scramble this morning I grabbed a thin crust pizza but its not sounding too appealing to me right now. I'm thinking about sushi, but the last time I went there it wasn't really all that good which threw me off and now I'm scared to go back. I also don't really want to spend any money. Plus tonight is going to be a fattening night.

Chad is off on a one night camping trip and so me and the girls - M, A, & M are getting together for a Wine & Cheese night at the apartment. God knows I am going to pig out like there is no tomorrow because I can't handle good food, especially cheese and red wine. So excited. Alicia is going to pick up some girly movies and we will chit chat and gossip and probably all pass out together in our frilly panties. Hahaha. Yea right.

So I guess since I've got some time now I should catch up on some work stuff so if we get the opportunity to leave early today I can. God knows that apartment is a disaster again and I need to clean it all before the girlies come. Clean clean clean!

***Update

The boss just bought us lunch! Green Salad Wrap. Healthy & Free!

An affluent Italian fashion designer

Photo explosion because I feel like it and because I haven't posted since Friday.

Saturday was wedding number 2 of the season.
The Bride & her Parents
The Bride and her parents
Fabiola & David
Fabiola & David (who is my cousin)
The Hot Couple
Outfit #1 for the day (yes you better believe I do a costume change half way through the day!)
The Commisioner
I told Chad he looked like a Commissioner. It was all because we spent Friday night watching the NHL draft and everyone was wearing suits.
Hi Commish!
Contrary to what he says, I bought the tie.
Stunning as usual. Ha.
We look good together.

After the ceremony we had about 4 hours to waste until the reception. I decided to go get a manicure so my nails would be all pretty for the reception and for our engagement photos the next day. That ended up turning into a disaster.

I made an appointment at this nail bar at the local mall. I had never been before but I always saw it full of people and figured I would try it out, I mean its just a manicure no one screws those up. Ha. I was wrong.

So I go in and the lady at the front tells me to go to station one. I sit down and it is disgusting, so much so that I didn't even want to put my hands down. Two seconds later an older chinese man comes out and sits infront of me. "White or Clear?" he says to me. Ahhh...White. Next thing I know he grabs the nail clippers and cuts off all my nails which I had specifically grown out for the manicure. I sat there in horror. Then he grabs a grinder and starts to grind my nails. At this point I'm thinking WTF. I've only ever had a manicure done once but I am pretty sure this is NOT how its done. So I pull my hands away and I say to him "I'm getting a manicure right?" To which he replys "oh manicure" in his broken english.

So he then carrys on in the most retarded fashion. He attempted to moisturize my hands but it got too greasy so he told me to wash them. Then he did the WORST french maniucre on me I had ever seen. Even I do a better job then that to myself. I was fuming. All I wanted to do was get out of there.

I was so pissed off the whole rest of the afternoon that the only thing that made me feel better was a quarter pounder with cheese, medium french fries, and a coke right before the reception. I'm still pissed at it. After having a shower on Monday night all the nail polish came off. I'm so glad I paid $25 bucks for the worst service in my life. Fack.

Anyways back to the reception...
Gangsta
Hi, this is my white, gangter wanna be, fiance.
Fabiola & David
Here they come!
Cheers to the Squid!
The "I've never eaten squid before" Crew
Even Better!!!
They make such an adorable couple!
Aww Mom
My mother was all over the place, as per usual. She then tried to prove to me that she wasn't drunk by calling me a "Sslooser". Yea Mom, I'm sure thats a word.
First Beer of the Night
Chad was lucky enough to get the first beer of the night. I don't know how he does it.
Salad Anyone?
Salad anyone?
Cheers!
Anthony was the man behind the fetching of Chads first beer. I don't know how hes turned all my cousins into his minions.
From Above
I always have to take one like this. I was quite blinging that night.
Laughing
Outfit #2. This is my 'Hi I am Italian' dress that actually came from France. I told everyone to call me Donatella Versace.
Bug Eyed
Damn those bug eyes. He ruins all good pictures. I am terrified to see how our engagement photos turned out.
Elise!
Elise decided to budge in for this one.
Papa Rossi & I
Me & Papa Rossi.
Don't touch her chicken
This is Laura. This is her chicken. You aren't allowed to eat it.
The Drunk
Elise had like 500 glasses infront of her. I have no idea where they came from.
I Love Salad!
I decided to eat some salad.
My drink is glowing
My drink was very free and very neon.
Chads cool
He looks like an old Italian with that hat on. Wait until he tells you all the story of the run in with the little Italian man in the washroom. Priceless.
David & Fabiola
Fabiola got her dress from the same store I wanted to get my dress from. Instead I just, kinda, stole there design. HA. But my dress won't even look the same as their dress so its ok.
Table 4 Part 1
Aww look, Cousins.

We ended up leaving the reception at 1:30, 5 minutes after the bride and groom did. It was a damn good night and makes me think that every Saturday night there should be a wedding.

With all these weddings coming up this summer I'm starting to freak out more and more about mine. At the beginning of the ceremony when we were waiting for Fabiola to walk down the isle I was having a panic attack because I was thinking about me and how nervous I'm going to feel. I hate attention and walking down the isle is like the most attention ever. Ahhh.

In the end I know everything will turn out fine and everyone will have a blast, but its still just that walking down the isle thing that gets me.

Thankfully there is one more wedding to go to before I freak out about ours.

All the pictures from the cerempony & reception are posted here.

ALICIA

Calm down! I will post something hopefully soon. I'm swamped right now and the post I am working on is LONG. OK!? SO IMPATIENT.

Why don't you just figure out what movies we are going to watch on Friday while you wait for me to finish costing Jacket Required.

Also, please remind me to ask Chad how to use the DVD player. He complicates everything.

Ok!

Hearts.

I will try and be speedy!!

Thanks,

<3 Danielle

Grey is my favorite colour

It really is. Chads mom once asked him if I wore actual colours because all she had ever seen me in was white, black, & grey. Hello monotone! I do wear colours, but I just like my monotone better.

Grey is also a very trendy colour right now.

I'm wearing my new T-shirt from Hollister that is grey and one size too small because I still think I'm 15 when I buy clothes apparently.

Today is a horrible day to be in the office. Everyone got mad at everyone else via emails this morning. I was cc'd on them that's the only reason why I know about it. It doesn't involve me but its like walking on pins and needles around here. I can hardly wait for the day to be over.

Bridal Make-up Trial 6

The parentals are coming over to the apartment after dinner. I say after dinner but in knowing their timing we will most likely have not even started dinner yet. They are coming to see the bedroom suite we bought and all the changes we've made to date. The apartment won't officially be complete until after the wedding when everything is bought and moved in. The only things that will need to be updated (but at a later date) will be the computer work area - getting Chad a new computer and desk - and adding some more tiles to the bathroom wall behind the toilet. Other then that it should be pretty much perfect.

Right now the apartment is a disaster and I have no idea how I will be able to clean it and make dinner in an hour before they come over. My mother will definitely say something. I was way to exhausted to worry about it last night after the gym so oh well!

The picture above is from a make-up trial my aunt did on me this weekend. She is using the pictures for her website. To see more I've added some here. This is not what I am going to look like on my wedding day. The veil and the hair are just for the website. The make up however, is pretty much whats its going to be. Just to give you a sneak peak!

They are highly visable

I went to America last night because my mom and I bought some jewellery on EBay and were going down to the mail box place to go pick them up.

CHAD!

I got this. Necklace and Bracelet. Both of them authentic. Both of them no where near the price you would pay if you bought them brand new. It will go down as the greatest find on EBay EVER. Thank God for girlfriends who hate their ex boyfriends and sell the things they got from them for stupidly cheap prices. It came with the box and everything, just like the picture.

My intention was to wear the set on my wedding day however it might be TOO gaudy with the dress (now coming from me that means something) so I will have to test them out once the dress is done. None the less I have always wanted the set so I will wear them and most likely include them in my engagement photos.

ME!

After picking that up from the mail box we went down to Bellis Fair for some shopping.

I went insane inside Hollister and picked up two t-shirts and a hoodie. They were all on sale so that was a bonus. It's actually very odd for me to love Hollister as much as I do because I HATE American Eagle for the simple fact that everyone in high school loved them and I wanted to get as far away from AE as possible. So the fact that Hollister is connected to AE should make me hate it but I don't. I think the only reason I don't is because there are no Hollisters here so when I wear something from there its not like I match half of society. What's also weird is that I am SO not a surf chick and do not subscribe to the lifestyle that Hollister promotes so it still baffles my mind that I actually love there stuff. In knowing me you would as well find it hard to believe I love Hollister.

RHCP

Next we went to Bath and Body Works where they had ALL the things I wanted to buy 50% off. I almost died. The last time I went down there was two years ago and I couldn't find the tanning cream that I bought in New York so I had to get some tinted moisturizer stuff which I didn't like as much. This time they had tons of it so I stocked up. I was so friggin excited.

New Sun Glasses

Last we went to Payless where I found basically exactly what I was looking for as a wedding shoe. I tried on the size 7 and they were a bit snug but not horrible. I tried on the 7 1/2 but it felt like my foot was coming out so I decided to buy the 7. When we got home my mom tried them on and was shocked my foot could actually fit in there. So I tired them on and they were tight but then I started to get all paranoid that they were too tight because my mom thought I was insane for buying that size and I started to freak out. I decided to just sleep on it and figure it out in the morning. When I tried them on again this morning they were still tight. I got so mad at myself for thinking that I could actually wear them all day and night. UGH. I'm still so mad.

Giant Cookie!

Anyways the bottom line is there is no point driving all the way back to the America to exchange $15 shoes so I will keep them and try to wear them (because they are nice and I do love them) and try and get something else for the wedding. Such a disaster. This is the second time something like this has happened to me in regards to shoes and the states. I am never buying shoes there again!

Feets

By the time we got home last night I was exhausted so I didn't take pictures of all the stuff I bought. I should tho and I will. I am not spending any more money this month after all the shopping I've done for me and for Chad. I think I have a problem.

Now I get to go make excuses to Lining Vendors who complain that I'm not giving them enough business. Yay!

Matt is the 4th member of the Jonas Brothers

It's Tuesday. I don't know what that means other then there is nothing going on a work today and a million things going on outside of work today.

Lets start from the top.

Where did you go?

Saturday Matt came over to help me cut out my wedding dress. We actually got pretty far which is good and makes me feel better about the whole thing. He ended up staying for dinner and then we went on an adventure with my parents to North Van. That's what we do when we are together. Revert to being 16. It was most fun and allowed me to fall asleep early. The pictures in this post are from said adventure.

View'em all here.

Jungle Fever

Contrary to Chads last post I didn't end up going out for dinner and Sex in the City last night. The boss' husband busted his knee and so people didn't want to go if she wasn't going to come (because she had to tend to her broken husband) so we postponed it. This means we will actually probably never see it.

This however totally worked in my favor. I was able to re work one of the busiest weeks of my life and went out with Marlee last night to buy curlers and a curling iron for our bridal hair trial this coming Sunday. Doing this allowed me to free up Wednesday which means I can now accompany my parentals on an evening shopping trip to America!

I was also able to spend some quality time with Mr. Ciavarro last night. Its been so long since we actually had a few moments to spend together on the couch doing nothing. It was most needed. I have become smitten with him this week.

The 4th Jonas Brother

Today there will only be two of us in the office which will be most boring. The only good thing is it will give me the chance to keep an eye on Italy vs. France.

Its funny how I obsessively blogged about World Cup '06 but haven't said anything about Euro Cup '08. It's partially because I haven't had time to pay attention to it and because I am too emotionally involved and I don't want to write about it on here then jinxing myself. It's a complicated Italian superstition thing. I will say however, that today is basically death match day. We need the Netherlands to win and we need to win against France (my sworn soccer enemy) in order for us to proceed. The catch is that they are playing both games at the SAME TIME, which means I will be crapping my pants for a good 2 hours. Sweet Jesus help us all.

Resting

Tonight there is a bunch of stuff we need to do and a bunch of appointments we need to attend to so I really don't know when we are going to eat dinner. I want Hot Dogs for dinner tho because we bought some really good ones from Safeway and they are SO yummy. I know Hot Dogs are more of a lunch meal or a picnic meal but we need something quick tonight so I am putting in my order for Hot Dogs.

Hot Dogs and Hashbrowns please!

It's Sunday and I'm blogging

Change Room Chad

Strange I know.

I really don't have anything to say.

I'm just here waiting for Chad to get out of bed.

I've started to clean my room but I can't really move due to the muscle pain I am feel in my leg.

Don't ask.

I hate sitting here waiting for people so I can start my day.

I really should clean this disaster and maybe dust everything since I probably haven't in a month.

Fack.

GET OUT OF BED CHAD.

She wears the pants

I am officially exhausted. My lower back hurts and my body is aching for some rest. I haven't decided if I will be joining Chad at the gym today or not.

I think its time for a wedding update.

The collection grows

So last night, aside from getting my eyes check, which by the way turned out they only slightly got worse over the past 5 years which means I wont have to get new glasses, I went wedding shoe shopping. That turned out to be a bust but mainly because what my Mother wanted me to get was basically the exact opposite of what I wanted to get so we found nothing. I will go again tomorrow to different stores and hopefully find something.

With less then 3 months to go before the big day I am running into crunch time. I currently have no wedding dress, no shoes, and the bridesmaids dresses have to be altered and adjusted. Thankfully I have been proactive on some things and have both hair and make up trials scheduled for the next two week. GO ME!

Our Fridge

In a week and a bit we are going to get our engagement photos done. These I am most excited about. We have decided to go to Stanley Park to get them done because we will have the option to take both 'Nature' & 'Urban' shots there. We just need to pick if we want the west side with English Bay & the Granville Street Bridge, or the east side with Coal harbour and the North Shore.

On Saturday, aside from starting my dress *eek* we are meeting with my uncle to go over the readings and things for the actual ceremony. Then we have to meet with the Organist to pick all the music. Hopefully I will be able to arraigned that on Sunday.

We went Wedding Cake shopping this past weekend. We didn't do any taste testing because we already know what we want - Diplomat cake all the way! - but we did need prices for the actual cake itself, plus a slab. Prices for the cake ran from $750 to $350, FOR THE SAME CAKE. People are nuts. I don't know why you would pay 750 bucks for the exact same cake you can get for $350. We are down to two different bakeries to pick from, that is unless my Aunt can come through and actually make the cake for us, then we will just have to buy a slab and we are all set!

I did clean the stove

We still need to get wedding bands. We went and looked one day but I couldn't make up my mind because I wanted the big gaudy one (of course) but it was stupidly expensive (shocking) so I don't know what to do. We need to go back again and look and I just need to be reasonable and pick something that will look good but not cost us and arm and a leg. Chad already picked out his band because hes not gaudy like me.

The only real important things left to do (besides make my dress) is to confirm everything we already books months ago. I know the decorations are all set, but the actual flowers need to be finalized, as well as the DJ, and lots of little things. The majority of the little things I can't do until after the dress is finished and the engagement photos are done because I need to use the leftover fabric and pictures to make the 'little things'. I really want to get moving on all those things so I have time left at the end for any small ideas or things that pop up. I can't wait to make wine bottle labels! I am such a nerd.

Fuzzy Carpet

Anyways, there is still lots to do and it looks like the majority of all my free time will be taken up with the wedding over the next three months. It should be interesting. I'm just really itching to get started on the last bit of stuff so it is over and done with. I need to start making lists and drawing pictures of what I want. Yes that's a good idea.

Oh candles! I need to buy some from Ikea for the head table. Mental Note that one.

I use to laugh like you, but then I stopped.

What I have been waiting for

The day has come! I finally have my very own parking spot in the underground garage! Sweet Jesus I have been waiting for this day forever. No more parking my car on the side streets. No more cursing at people who take up too much room. No more walking to the front door with a million things in my hands in the rain. All of that, GONE!

The only down side to this is that I will no longer be escorted to my car by Mr. Ciavarro. I thought he would be happy by this. No more walking me to the car late at night when its cold and rainy and all he wants to do is go to sleep. But I was mistaken. It seems that he grew quite attached to walking me to my car all the time. Like it was 'our little thing'. And now his services won't be needed anymore.

I guess its kinda like the mamma bird letting her little baby fly and do it on her own. All this time I 'depended' on Chad to walk me to my car and now I don't need him any more. Aww :(

He made quite the production about it last night being the 'last time' he will ever walk me to my car. SO CUTE. I can't handle it.

This is June

In other news I am wearing an effing turtle neck today. THE ALMOST MIDDLE OF JUNE. This is what it looked like on Monday night. It rained so much that the man hole covers started popping up in the middle of the streets. Its soooo friggin depressing and its so cold that it actually feels like November. So much so that the Fox keeps playing November Rains. Oh Ma God, let this weather STOP ALREADY. Le sigh.

I'm going to get my eyes checked today (it would have been smart of me to do that BEFORE laying down 500 bucks on new D&G glasses but anyways) and I have a feeling my eyes HAVE changed.

I need to get contacts so that on my wedding day I will not be blind and can actually see who I am marrying. I have discovered that I really do need to wear glasses on a daily basis, which is not a problem excpet when we go out and I want to dress up with out having to wear my glasses, then I either go blind or look like a nerd. This is where contacts come into play.

Hopefully everything will work out with that tonight. Yay contacts!

Thank God we're normal

The Yale
So we had Chads birthday party at the Yale on Saturday night. It was definitely better then I expected. The first band that was on had a female lead singer and she was hot and really good. The first set was all original music and the second set was all covers. It was really good music, and thats a pretty big thing coming from someone who is NOT a huge fan of blues music.
Partial Wedding Party
I wasn't going to take pictures because it totally didn't seem like the type of crowd who would 'accept bloggers' but the later it got the more people got drunk and the more I didn't care. Plus Neil made me. So here are some pictures.

We got there at around 9 and it was about half full of old men and cougars; which we all excpeted. Then at around 11 or so these young chicks in little dresses came out of no where and it made all the guys happy. It was very odd. The age of the crowd began to shifted as more and more friends showed up. By the end of the night it was about half "old" and half "young". It made for a very entertaining crowd.

The one thing that stood out to me the most was the amount of fashion disasters I saw that night. Omg I could not handle it. It was like these women hadn't left the house in 20 years to go out and party which meant they had NO idea what was fashionable and what wasn't. And at the same time I know that some peoples priority in life is not to have the lastest fashion but there are just some pieces of clothing that should never be worn no matter who you are. For example, jeans that have criss cross leather ties up the front so that when you wear them you have an inch of skin showing all the way down your leg with a leather shoe lace criss crossing down your leg. I almost barfed.

Overall it was a pretty good night. Everyone had fun and Chad wasn't falling over drunk (bonus!) as apose to last year. And even though I was the DD I really enjoyed myself.

Chad owes me fries from Fritz tho.
